Our best wishes and congratulations to Judge Sonia Sotomayor on her confirmation as the nation’s 111th Supreme Court Justice, and first ever of Hispanic descent, by the United States Senate.
The nomination and confirmation of the Court’s first Hispanic and third female justice is a historic step forward for our nation and for us Latinos in general.
We are in no doubt that Judge Sotomayor will serve with distinction, peculiarity & merit as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court, and we praise President Obama and the U.S. Senate for choosing and supporting her.
